The semi-finals of Polar Bear Pitching were held today at the sunny market square of Oulu. 11 startups in total won a spot in the finals and they will be accompanied by the winner of Norwegian national championships, Bookis.
The companies that made it to the finals are VideoCVfrom Estonia, Funky Jumpfrom Japanand Kidday, Mealbox, Delektre Ltd, AISpotter Oy, Rat Crew Studios, Simlab IT, Doerz, Zennizand New Cable Corporationfrom Finland.
Companies offer solutions from various fields, such as mobile apps, games and sports. The participants brought their personal flairs to the ice hole with them, ranging from pillows to an army of knights.
Polar Bear Pitching finals take place tomorrow on the 13thof March at Oulu market square from 18:00 onwards. In the competition, startups pitch their business ideas to investors from an ice hole. The winner goes home with 10 000 euros and loads of attention from investors. The final competition will be streamed here: https://livestream.com/onair/PBP2019
Finals are free and open for all public. In addition to the pitching competition, there will be a possibility to play pond hockey, enjoy Finnish sauna and palju (a wooden hot tub), take a ride with a reindeer and much more.
